[00:00:45]What's up champions, keeping this one short today, but don't underestimate short as being something extremely effective, something you might need at this exact time. And we are talking about having things done over, having things [00:01:00] perfect. And this is something that I notice I just got back from a mastermind event over this past weekend.

[00:01:06] And. Time and time again, this is something that so many people struggle with. So many of us high achievers, if you're someone out there who has these big dreams has this big vision, has these things you want to do. It's easy to get overwhelmed and thinking it has to be all perfect and SPL, right? The first time around and the thing that separates the most successful people.

[00:01:26] I see at these, at these business groups from. Uh, the ones that continue to be stuck in the, in the same place, maybe they're not making the momentum they want is their ability to implement quickly their ability to implement quickly, get things done before perfecting them, getting them launched, getting things, going, taking action, and then getting feedback, gathering feedback, gathering, self feedback, gathering feedback from others saying what went right.

[00:01:51] What didn't go, well, what can I learn from, and then making it better and continuing to do so, but that is what I see time and time again, separate the, uh, the people that are doing it [00:02:00] at a high level and the ones that continue to get stuck in the weeds. The ones that have been planning for months, for years at this point about that business, they want to launch about that health routine.

[00:02:10] They want to get started on about that new lifestyle change. They're making. And if you find yourself stuck in that same place where you're still gathering data, you're trying to, you're like, I just don't know what to do. I don't know which, which way to go. Do I go right? Or do I go left? Sometimes it doesn't matter, guys.

[00:02:25] Sometimes we just have to pick a direction, put our foot in the ground. And take the step forward, take whatever that next step is on making that change. We want to see in our lives and not until we accept that done over perfect mentality, where we start to see the results that we want. And this applies to any area of our life.

[00:02:42] You can't, uh, you can't get six pack abs your first time going to the gym. You're not going to, you're not going to pick up a basketball and all of a sudden be as good as Michael Jordan. You're not going to start a business and make a million dollars in the very first day doing it. Person you talk to, and this is true to you can apply this to any of your life in your relationships, [00:03:00] in your spiritual life and your business and your finances.

[00:03:03] And the things you have to do is start to get, start to get reps, start to get those reps that, that hurt a little bit. They can't hurt when people say no, when you get turned down, when you put out something and no one replies to it, when you put yourself out there where we're stepping out in faith and saying, Hey, I believe this can work.

[00:03:20] But, and as we put it out there, if no one, if no one gives us the, the affirmation, if we don't get any, if we launched that business and we don't get any money right away, we can get discouraged. But that's really just all feedback. You can gather it. Get more information and then keep making it better, keep making better and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

[00:03:38] And that's what separates the champions, those, those top achievers from the ones that are still stuck in the planning mode. And I don't want you guys to stay there. You know, I'm a fan of, of planning and vision and those things to have their purpose. Absolutely. But at some point we have to start taking action and we can't, we can't have all of our ducks in a row.

[00:03:58] Before we decide to take the [00:04:00] step. And I believe that if, if God showed us all the things that we needed to do to get to that next level, if you wanted to say, start that business and God showed you, here's all the things you're gonna have to do. Here's every single step you're going to have to do. It would completely overwhelm us.

[00:04:15] And I think that's the reason. We don't see the whole picture. We don't see it all, but we do know what that next step is likely. If you're, if you're sitting here listening to this, if you're, if you have something that's thinking, think of your biggest goal right now. Think of that thing that if I could accomplish this, if I could just do this, that would make my life, that would make my life so much more meaningful.

[00:04:34] That would fill me with so much more passion. Think about what that is for a second. Now think about what the next step is. Something that, you know, you can take, what's something, you know, you can do right now. And I want you guys to lean into that step. I want you to take that step. It might be picking up the phone and reaching out to a contact.

[00:04:52] You have, it might be hiring a coach. It might be, uh, you know, just whatever that next step is. It might seem, it might seem so small [00:05:00] even, but there's something I bet you know, that you need to be doing that you've been putting off. You've been waiting for more information. You've been waiting for the time to be right.

[00:05:10] And I'm here to tell you that the time is right now, that's this is, this is the best time to get started on it. If that goal is as important as you say it is, if that goal is meaningful, as you say it is do one thing today to move yourself closer to it, and it might be a little uncomfortable, it might set your, I feel like you're setting yourself up for, for failure because it's not perfect yet.

[00:05:30] It's not ready to go. But if it's writing a book, write that, write that first page, write that and show to start getting some words on paper. And you'll find out that as you do that, you'll start to pick up this incredible momentum over time. As you start to tell people what you're doing, you start to gather valuable feedback and you'll start to make it better.

[00:05:47] As you put yourself out there in business. People might say no, but that gives you an incredible opportunity to gather some feedback, to start to learn what it is that you need to be improving on. What skills do you need [00:06:00] to improve on to, to make it better? And, uh, one of my mentors and coaches, Scott Thomas, uh, mentioned this at a mastermind event.

[00:06:08] We were at this past weekend. He says everything worth doing is worth doing poorly at first. And if you think about that, think about anyone. That's at the top of their top of their game and, and, and fitness and in business and sport in life, people just look up to in their, in their marriage and in another way, They didn't get this all figured out their first time doing it.

[00:06:27] And you're you're have the same potential. You have the same potential that those people have. If you can just get started, if you can put aside the perfection mentality, if you can put aside the mentality of wanting to know it, all wanting to have it, I'll figure it out once you, once you can shed that and just start taking imperfect action, you're gonna be.

[00:06:46] Amazed at, at the, uh, the progress you can make beyond what you can do in the planning stage and the stage where you're just thinking and plotting and, and wondering what the possibilities are wondering when the time is going to be right. If you're, if [00:07:00] you're stuck there, I, I can relate with you guys because I've been there.

[00:07:03] I'm a, I'm a perfectionist by, by nature. I'm a, I'm a one who overthinks things. I'm one who likes to plan and gather all the information. I've found time and time again, that more planning does not equal any better outcomes than just launching it. And usually it just slows things down. It doesn't allow me to get the feedback I need.

[00:07:22] It doesn't allow me to implement quickly and see what works. Because, because if you spend so much time planning and you launch something and it's not what, it's not the response that you think would be. Then you've just wasted days, months, maybe years of planning, something that you could have figured out if you just pulled the trigger and rode the bullet, like a, uh, like a, another one of my coaches, Danny,  likes to say, and that's, that's the type mentality you have to, you have to adapt is that, uh, Jumped out of the plane, build the parachute on the way down is a, is another thing that, uh, some of my mentors, uh, rather than meek mentioned quite frequently, and that's just their mentality.

[00:07:59] They live [00:08:00] by. And, and there's some, uh, there's some of the most successful people I know of people who just implement, implement, they jump and then they figure it out. They don't wait for the timing to be just perfect. So I just wanted to jump on here to encourage you guys with that. Cause that's something that it's just been coming up more often.

[00:08:15] And when things come up, when I see these trends coming up more often and. Business groups I'm in, in the, in our own coaching clients that I'm working with and friends I talked to, then I just, uh, I feel compelled to get a podcast episode out with that, because if, uh, if one person's dealing with it, I know it's, I know that can still be important, but when I start hearing multiple people struggling with the same thing over and over again, this, this, uh, over-analyzing mentality, this delay to start then I just, I can't stand seeing people here in people.

[00:08:47] Wasting their gifts wasting their time, wasting their energy, but not operating with more urgency by waiting to have it all figured out. So I want you guys to really reflect. If you take one thing from this, think about what that [00:09:00] meaningful goal is. Think about what that thing is that you're just burning on the inside to be doing.

[00:09:05] Maybe it's a side hustle business. Maybe it's something within your own business. You already have. Maybe it's something in your relationship. Maybe it's something in your spiritual life. Maybe it's something in your health and your body. You need to get under control. What is that thing that's burning inside of you now think about what that, what that next step is.

[00:09:20] I'm guessing, you know what it is. I'm guessing you don't need a coach to tell you what that next step. You might not know what the, uh, steps B through Z are, but I bet you, you know, what, what step a is on that, on that journey. So I want you guys to take that step today, this week, as soon as you can, as soon as you can guys take that next step, get some feedback on, on what the next step is.

[00:09:42] Get some feedback on, on what's working. To what other actions and skills you need to, I need to implement, to continue to be successful, to continue to move yourself down that journey. And that's where, uh, that's where the magic happens. So I just wanted to jump on here to encourage you guys, uh, you know, I, I love you guys [00:10:00] for, for listening in, I know you guys.

[00:10:02] Big things on your heart. I know you guys have big things in your future, and I know you guys have incredible potential, but that potential only be unlocked if we start taking action. So guys, I hope you, uh, hope you got some encouragement from this. I know you guys will have something to, uh, some, some homework to take and run with it.

[00:10:18] And, uh, that can be a hard question to ask because. The, uh, the answer that pops in your mind. But I think that, you know, you need to be doing, it's probably not something that you, uh, would love to be doing, or you wouldn't be putting off for so long, but go take action on it. Guys. Life gets better when we can build this action habit.
