[00:00:45]Welcome to today's episode of the men made for more podcasts. Uh, I'm back on a solo episode today, and it's been a little while since I've gotten to rip one of these. So I'm excited to be back on the mic for today. As we talk about what's really [00:01:00] needed to launch, grow and scale your business in 2020.

[00:01:04] And as we get kind of to that halfway point here, uh, looking at what can we do in the next six months to, uh, to take those next steps in, maybe that's just starting the business or maybe that's growing and scaling and taking that business to the next level. And, uh, a topic I'm really excited about. And this is, uh, this is coming in preparation for our first ever.

[00:01:25] The men made for more virtual business summit, a three-day summit that a putting together hosted by myself and, uh, bringing on some of them. The best speakers and coaches. I know across the country, uh, coming into speak for this three-day virtual summit on July 19th, 20th and 21st. Uh, I'll circle back on it.

But I know we have a lot of business owners listening in a lot of the feedback I get from, uh, from you guys, listening in, in [00:02:00] our Facebook group, uh, people listening to the podcast, uh, people exchange communication, uh, with myself is a lot of business advice.

[00:02:07] And how do we connect our, our passions and our purpose to. A business that is actually profitable that we can actually make money with. And that we can actually serve those with our, with our passions, with our talents, with the gifts that we've been given. And that's exactly what I want to talk about today.

[00:02:24] And that's exactly what we're going to be getting into at the, a virtual summit coming up later this month, because. It's a great question. It's something that a lot of people struggle with. A lot of people think that you either need to go work. This job, work this, this nine to five job, or chase your passions and don't make much money doing it.

[00:02:43] And it's rare for the people to combine. Those passions you have with something that you can really make money with and do something that's fulfilling, you can have your have your own schedule and be able to serve people in the way you want to and create a business and a culture, the way that you want [00:03:00] to.

[00:03:00] And that's, that's absolutely possible. That's something that, uh, I started back in 2017 when, uh, first launched inside our strength performance, our, our physical therapy business. Uh, I didn't like the way that, uh, that things were. Insurance model and working for other people. And there was a vision I had in the culture.

[00:03:18] I had to grow something that was truly unique in the physical therapy and strength conditioning space. And that's what I did when we started inside. I was training to performance and that's the same thing that, uh, happened, uh, in 2020 when a man-made for more coaching was, uh, was birthed and that's.

[00:03:38] Another thing. That's just an extension of the passions. I have extensions of the things that I'm good at the things I found I was good at. Doing the work and putting in the reps in, in other areas of, of working with people in our PT business and, and starting to coach on the side and then seeing it evolve into, into something bigger through between one-on-one coaching, through group coaching and, uh, all the different avenues that have, [00:04:00] uh, They've opened up and being able to see the community that's, that's possible both in both those businesses and I've, I've seen the same thing time and time again, with, uh, with friends and the different coaching groups I'm in.

[00:04:10] If these people that are just taking leaps, taking these leaps of faith towards their true passions, towards those things that really light them on fire. And that they're really good. And then turning those into a business that is actually consistently bringing in money and, and, uh, and in a way that goes beyond just earning a paycheck and even earning a really good paycheck, when you can form a business like this, that's connected to your passions as connected to your purpose.

[00:04:35] And you can consistently bring in leads and, and execute the sales and marketing side of things and organize the systems around your business. Then things can really escalate and you can, you can talk about, you know, start talking about generational wealth that's possible from, uh, from growing something bigger, bigger than yourself and bringing out a team along.

[00:04:55] And, uh, that's just, that's just what excites me so much about business, but, [00:05:00] uh, one I want to get in, you know, briefly to, uh, to some of the things that, uh, some of the many things we're gonna be talking about at the summit, but, uh, five things specifically that are tools. You need things you have to overcome to achieve your goals in business, to be able to launch and grow and scale that, that.

[00:05:17] In these next six months in 2021. And we can, we can look long-term strategy and I think that's important, but I want you guys to be in the, in the mindset of take action. Now, what can we be doing right now to make this a reality, uh, life short this year is going to be short. These next six months are gonna are gonna fly by.

[00:05:36] And, uh, want to set you guys up for success in having the tools to be able to do whatever that is that you want to do to achieve over these, these last six, six months, because 2021, definitely isn't over regardless of, of how the first six months went on the, um, the year following a pretty crazy one in 2020, but regardless of how these first six months went, whether they were really great or what.

[00:05:57] They weren't exactly what you had in store. [00:06:00] You can turn things around in, in an instant with, uh, with one word, one step of action. One leap of faith can really, I really transform the future for, for yourself, for your family, for your business. So let's get in quickly to, uh, what those, what those five things are that you're going to need to kind of overcome and get past.

[00:06:19] And. Become an expert in, or find the right people in your life to be able to tackle some of these things. So the first one starts with a starts with the person staring in front of you in the mirror though. That's, uh, it starts with yourself and starts with your mindset. And the first thing is getting over the limiting beliefs, holding you back from drastically, improving your life and your business.

[00:06:39] So many guys I know are plague. Limiting beliefs. And this is especially true. This is going to come to light. When you go to start a business, when you try to grow, when you try and take your business to that next level, you're going to have to get over these limiting beliefs that are holding you back.

[00:06:55] It's one thing to just, just put your head down and try harder and grind harder and [00:07:00] do these things. But if you have these weights holding you down, these things. A lack of confidence insecurity over your worth. Uh, and then, uh, limiting beliefs and, and scarcity mindset around, you know, finances and being able to leverage a team and leverage the money that people are giving you.

[00:07:15] People are gonna pick up on that. When you go to sell your product, when you're going to market it, when you're going to do any of these things, these limiting beliefs are going to continue to plague you. And until you can cut the ties with those weights that are holding you down, it's going to continue to feel like you're just.

[00:07:30] Yeah, you're just spinning your wheels and you're just not making the progress you want, or maybe you've had this business idea in the, in the back of your mind, this business idea. That's really, really great. And you've just been sitting on it for months or for years, even, right. Guys there there's a limiting belief.

[00:07:44] That's keeping you from, from taking that next step. And I know it's especially true when you're, when you talk, starting a business and there's a lot of overwhelm and confidence in doubts and fears that are going to creep in that are going to try and keep you from starting that business or taking that next step that might be, [00:08:00] you know, bringing it.

[00:08:00] Employees that might be, uh, you know, a new, a new marketing strategy direction that, you know, you need to take, but might be out of your comfort zone. Those are the things that are going to continue to slow you down. If you can't conquer those limiting. So that's the first one and arguably the most important having that mindset, uh, entrepreneurship is a tough journey.

[00:08:20] You're going to get told no, a ton of times you're going to get shut down, turn down things. Aren't going to look the way you want. It's going to be at times much harder than you ever thought. But grant is going to be so much more rewarding, but there are times where it's going to feel like you're just not making progress and you're stuck on an island and you're on this journey alone, but you are not.

[00:08:39] And that's where it's important to have the right mindset and be able to identify that and be able to connect to that deeper, a deeper why that is going to keep you going in those in those times where we're feeling stuck. Second thing that you're going to need to get extreme clarity on and going to need to get crystal clear on, to be able to take your business to that next [00:09:00] level is going to be to clarify your vision and your purpose for not just your business, but for your life as well.

[00:09:05] And this is one of the first places I start with clients is, is getting clear on where, where are we going? Where, where are you going with with this business and not just this business? Where are you going with with your life? What is your, what is the ultimate version of your life? Five years from now, 10 years from now, 25 years from now.

[00:09:22] What kind of things do you, do you want to be doing? What kind of people do you want to surround yourself with? What kind of money do you want to have coming in? What are the things that you value and what are the things that are going to truly fulfill? And a lot of people just start that business or they just, they they've maybe been in business for a little bit of time now.

[00:09:41] And they're just like head down still going, still going, but they haven't stepped back and looked ahead to, okay, what am I, what am I doing this for? And what am I, what am I really working towards? Because until you have that vision, until you have that compass, that GPS, it's going to be really hard to know if you're on the right track.

[00:09:58] If you're making the right steps, if [00:10:00] you're moving fast, If you're making the right things that are setting you up for maybe that time or financial freedom that you might someday be, be looking for. And that's why it becomes really important to make sure that you have that vision and that purpose. And there's things that we'll talk about in the summit of specific ways to kind of go about that and go through that exercise to really pull that out, because that's going to be really important when it comes to not just seeing success in business, but making sure that.

[00:10:26] Your health, your emotional state, your mental state, your relationship, your personal finances, any of these other things aren't falling to the wayside as you try and try and step to that next level as you try and grow to that next level. Cause that's that, that's the thing that kills me the most is.

[00:10:41] People push for business success, but because they don't have this clear vision and purpose for what their ultimate life looks like across all those different areas, those key areas of life spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally in your relationships financially. If they don't have a clear vision of that, then a lot of [00:11:00] those things that they might see success in one of those pillars, but so many other ones fall to the wayside.

[00:11:04] And that's where it becomes really important, not just from a strategy standpoint, but also from a achieving success, true success across all the areas and the people that I respect. The most people that I look up to the most are doing that. They're not just pushing one pillar all the way to the top and then letting the other ones fall to the wayside.

[00:11:22] So that's the second thing. Third thing that's going to be super important and something that, uh, is going to be essential for any of you entrepreneurs out there, whether it's, it's getting into a new business venture, maybe a passion project, a side hustle, or getting to that next level of growth going from going from five figures to six figures to six figures or seven figures, seven figures, eight figures, whatever that growth is, you're going to have to master the time management and organizational strategies needed to just stay disciplined and get more.

[00:11:52] I'm sure. If you look at any, uh, any business owner that you respect or anyone you, you respect in any area of your life, there's [00:12:00] a, there's a level of, of time management and organization. That's there a level of, of discipline that is there that, uh, you don't, you don't see in everyday individuals. And there's just a different level that they operate at and just more output that gets done.

[00:12:15] And some of that is, you know, having key time management strategies and staying organized, but a big piece of that is managing your energy as well. Being able to. Uh, show up with extreme focus and the tasks that need your highest focus, your highest value tasks. Being able to identify what those are, to prioritize what those are, and to be able to stay disciplined and follow the plan.

[00:12:36] You need to be able to have the strategies in place to have the plan in the first place, but then you have to be able to stay disciplined and act based on you. Commitments and not based on your feelings, that's what the best people I know in, uh, the people that see the most success act on their commitments, what they say they're going to do, and not just their feelings, what they feel like doing that day, because so many people.

[00:13:00] [00:13:00] Get to the hard tasks they get to that task that they've been putting off that task, outside their comfort zone, that big thing they know that needs to push it forward. And I've been there myself. So I know exactly how this feels and you just put it off another day. You choose the, the easier thing that the easier to do list item that could get crossed off.

[00:13:17] And you don't push forward on that thing you need to, and that's acting on your feelings, what you're scared of doing, which what's uncomfortable, what you don't feel like doing that day. I will, we need to start acting on our commitments, what we say, we're going to do what we know we're going to do, how we're going to be men of integrity.

[00:13:32] They're going to show up and do what we say that we're going. So that's the third thing. And that's a, that's a huge thing. I I'm excited. I have a good friend and an amazing coach, Al Hammond coming on to talk about his, uh, four quarter strategy for time management and how he just crushes it in, in business and his multiple businesses that he has in his personal life as well.

[00:13:51] And he's someone that I respect a lot and he's going to. Given just some, some really amazing information on some of those time management and organizational strategies. [00:14:00] Uh, next thing. So those are the first three. So far we got get over limiting beliefs, clarify your vision, the time management and organizational strategies for thing, the sales and marketing strategies that you need to, to build your business, build your brand, stand out in a, in a noisy world.

[00:14:15] And this one's, this one's huge. I know so many people out there that are following their passions are really, really, really, really good. At what they do. And you probably find yourself in that situation, the things that you're good at, the things that lights you on fire, you're probably amazing at giving the service or creating a product that is going to has the potential to change that.

[00:14:35] But if you can't communicate that, if you can't get that into the right people's hands, if you can't get that in front of your ideal customer's eyes and communicate in a way that gets them to take action, to pull out their wallet, to actually pay you as much as I know, all of us would be willing to work for free and those things that we really love and those things that how we.

[00:14:56] Enjoy doing. We need to make money there to make a living and be able [00:15:00] to provide for our family, provide for our communities to be able to give back in the way that we want to serve the way we want to. That's just how business works. But so many people follow their passions and they think because I'm really good at what I'm doing.

[00:15:12] And you might be the best at what you're doing, but if you've ever been frustrated, looking at that guy down the street, that guy on Instagram, that's crushing it in business, but maybe it doesn't have all the technical knowledge you do. That's just because it's, it's a difference of being able to. Have those sales and marketing strategies needed to communicate it.

[00:15:31] If you can't communicate what you're doing, it doesn't matter how good you are. You're not going to be able to help the people that you deserve to be helping, because you don't have the strategy in place to be able to sell and to be able to market it. And that's going to be a big focus at a, at the summit that I'm excited about have, uh, a couple of different people coming in and some, some digital marketing experts and, uh, uh, one of my mentors in, uh, a leader of the, uh, PT business group that I'm a part of Danny Mateo is going to be talking on some sales strategies and he's, [00:16:00] uh, he's a ninja with some of those things.

[00:16:01] So I'm, uh, I'm super excited for, uh, being able to learn myself and be able to share some of that with you guys and on how to, how to stand out and how to sell with confidence and how to do that in a, in a noisy world. And it is a very noisy world right now. You look at Instagram and Facebook and scrolling through all these things and there's, there's no shortage of.

[00:16:22] Of a noise out there, but you need to be able to stand out to be able to, uh, to be able to serve in the way that you guys are capable. Okay, so last thing and sales and marketing super important. Uh, last thing though that, uh, we're going to touch on here today is how do you leverage the right relationships and people to take your business and your life to the next level, this one, having the right alignments in your life, having the right relationships in your life.

[00:16:48] Absolutely huge to get to your next level. And that's something I learned the hard way of trying to do it on my own for a while, and not wanting to ask for help, not wanting to, uh, get the, get the coaching and bring on the people [00:17:00] and delegate the things that needed to, to, to step into a greater calling and step into a next level.

[00:17:06] And having those right relationships in your life and being able to leverage those effectively is going to be the thing that's going to kind of Excel celebrate your, uh, your success. Take the shortcut to, to your success if you will, because having the right relationships in your life can, uh, can drastically change your, your future.

[00:17:25] One, one of the right relationships you use properly can cut years, decades off. Yeah. Off your learning curve. And that's why people seek out coaches. That's why people find mentors, people doing the similar things in their, in their space, seeking out other professionals that have seen success. All those things are extremely important to I get to the next level and that that's fine, the right team members in, uh, in your, that fits your culture, that fits your, your core values, those things that, uh, are going to be able to offload some of those tasks that aren't in your, your highest, uh, your highest form of excellence.

[00:17:58] Those things that aren't. [00:18:00] You know, aren't bringing in as much as much money as much impact as you could be. If you were fully operating in your, your highest level of impact, your highest level of value. And there's a, there's some of the speakers coming in at people that I have close relationships. Uh, Steve Weatherford specifically, he's someone I've been fortunate enough to, to learn from and do life with, for, uh, for the past six, eight months now.

[00:18:25] And he's, he's willing to, uh, come in and share some of the things he's leveraged with, with relationships and with making a drastic jump in his, his business life as well. And, and he attributes all the success he's seen to having the right people in his life, the right relationships, right. Alignments that, uh, allows allowed him to.

[00:18:45] Accomplished things that never would have been possible on his own. And those are things that, uh, said we're finding out the, uh, you know, the long way. And, uh, but leveraging other people like, like him and like a lot of the other speakers that are going to be coming into, uh, be able to speak on that and how much relationships and other [00:19:00] coaches and other groups have been.

[00:19:02] Influential and so impactful to, to their success. And that's a, there's, there's no shortcut to, to, uh, success to that vision you have. But if there's one cheat code, it's, it's going to be get around the right people. And, uh, that's going to be, you know, contagious and so impactful when it comes to your growth as, as a business, but as an individual as well, which is, which is most important at the end of the day, guys is being able to crush it in business, see success in business, but also be in a, an amazing.

[00:19:32] Man and husband and friend, and a parent, and, uh, all these, all these other things that you can do to give back to your community and, and leave a legacy behind those are really the most important things that, uh, are going to really, really fulfill you and, uh, do more than just, just make money. And that's, uh, you know, We love, we love making, making money.

[00:19:54] We love, uh, being able to make money doing what we love, but at the end of the day, the, uh, the money isn't, what's [00:20:00] important. It's, it's the impact. And it's the people you're impacting around you. And the ways you can give back through, through your business when, when you do it the right way. So guys, those are the.

[00:20:08] The five main things that the tools you're going to need to launch grow scale that business here in these last six months of 2021, get over those limiting beliefs, clarify your vision and your purpose. Identify the time management and the organizational strategies. You need to stay discipline and just get more done.

[00:20:27] The sales and marketing strategies. You need to build your brand and how to leverage the right relationships to take your life and your business to the next level. So guys, those are, those are things that, uh, Start from the top on that. If you find that limiting beliefs is, uh, some you're plagued by start there and start crossing those off the list, the best you can.
